Situated centrally in Powhatan County is the 522/Lee’s Landing region. Access to Lee’s Landing is convenient from surrounding areas, as Route 522 – Maidens Road – serves as a main artery through the area. Further, traveling south on Maidens Road connects travelers with Route 60 and, thus, all of the amenities Powhatan County has to offer. Huguenot Trail also runs east to west throughout the region and connects residents with shopping, dining and entertainment in Midlothian and beyond. Finally, commuters are within minutes of the World War II Veteran’s Memorial Highway, which is set on the eastern border of the 522/Lee’s Landing area.
Along the Maidens Road corridor, residents of 522/Lee’s Landing have access to several new neighborhoods, as well secluded subdivisions that take advantage of the beauty and tranquility this portion of Virginia has to offer. With options such as Greywalls, West Lake at Mill Mount, Maple Grove and Sherwood, incoming residents have plenty to choose from in this area. Most of the homes in the area’s subdivisions are served by Powhatan County’s public school district, including Pocahontas Elementary School, Pocahontas Middle School, and Powhatan High School; however, residents situated in the eastern portion of Lee’s Landing may use the Flat Rock school district instead.
Traveling to the northern border of 522/Lee’s Landing takes travelers to the 1,500-acre Powhatan State Park. The James River is a true highlight of the park – and the region, for that matter – and provides numerous recreation opportunities, including swimming, boating and fishing. Past the park, the vast history and scenic beauty of Goochland County awaits. Of course, 522/Lee’s Landing has plenty of offerings, as well, including the Foundry Golf Club. Numerous shopping options and great eateries, such as the Cafe at Maidens, combine with the region’s more natural offerings to give residents plenty to do and see in the 522/Lee’s Landing area
